Brad, Just to second your recommendation, I have been using Adblock Plus in Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and IE for a long time now. One of the first things I recommend to my clients, particularly my clients that rely on screen readers, is to install an ad blocker. One can obtain Adblock Plus through the Add-Ons or Extensions manager, terminology varies by browser.
And, believe me, those endless blinking, scrolling, and otherwise "visually active" ads are as insanity making, but in an entirely different way, for the sighted. Brian
