What’s annoying to me is arrowing through all the facebook, google, twitter
etc. junk underneath the headline for an article I want to read. If I wasn’t
such a news junky my patience would run out with the first flick of the arrow.
Is there a way to get through all the junk before you finally hit the story you
want to read on a news sight? Judith

Brad,

Just to second your recommendation, I have been using Adblock Plus in
Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and IE for a long time now. One of the first things I
recommend to my clients, particularly my clients that rely on screen readers,
is to install an ad blocker. One can obtain Adblock Plus through the Add-Ons
or Extensions manager, terminology varies by browser.

And, believe me, those endless blinking, scrolling, and otherwise
"visually active" ads are as insanity making, but in an entirely different way,
for the sighted.

Brian
