You're absolutely correct, but in the Google Voice Settings, Calls Tab, there is an item for "Caller ID (incoming)" that gives you one of two options: 1. Display Caller's Number 2. Display my Google Voice Number If memory serves, this choice carries over to all devices to which you forward your calls, whether landline or mobile. If my memory is incorrect then there would be no way to set up a distinctive ring for all calls coming in on Google Voice since any caller's phone number is what would be coming through instead.
