I think you'd probably have to use Chrome or Firefox with it, but since Google
Voice doesn't use SIP or anything a common soft phone can get to, it could be
hard to get going unless there were some kind of gateway service for doing
that. If one wanted one of those boxes to hook an old cheap analog phone to,
the Obihai boxes can hook up to Google Voice, as their developers figured out
how to do it.

Hi, Brian. I use GoogleVoice, but I only use it to forward calls to my home
phone and cell. I don't call or receive calls from my computer. Using it the
way I do, everything is accessible, but I can't speak about using it directly
from the PC.

Hello I am checking to see if anyone has experience with, “Softphones”

Related to this, does anyone have experience with Google Voice and/or
Google Hangouts with JAWS. Freedom Scientific just waved its hand when I
inquired about this. I recently set up a Google Voice number for a client who
needs a temporary second phone number during an internship. However, we've
found no way to answer calls using JAWS on the computer. I believe we'll end
up using the Hangouts app for iPhone, but I'd love to have a method to work
with regular Hangouts on the PC.
