Thanks. I followed these steps and now Chrome doesn’t open PDF files.
Unfortunately, nothing opens when I click on a link to a PDF file while I’m in
Chrome. After pressing enter on the link failed, I pressed the applications key
and arrowed through the choices available, but none was to open.

Did you client experience this? Either way, any ideas?

Subject: Re: How to have PDF files read in the Acrobat window and not Chrome

To disable the PDF reader plugin in Chrome, and have Adobe Reader triggered
instead, do the following:

  1. In the address bar, enter, about:plugins
  2. Search the plugins page for Chrome PDF Viewer
  3. There is a Disable link immediately after that line if the in-browser PDF
Viewer is enabled (and an Enable link if disabled), click it.
  4. PDF files should now be opened by Adobe Reader or whatever application
you have set as your default PDF Reader.
