Ann, CTRL+SHIFT+C still doesn't work for me in Excel. Excel is also weird in that Format Painter is only available when a cell itself, but not the cell contents, are selected since a cell generally has formatting applied to it as a whole. I can get Format Painter to work via ALT+H+FP when I have a cell selected, then if I select another cell afterward it immediately "format paints" that cell. I still haven't figured out how you accomplish the equivalent of a double click on the Format Painter button via keyboard shortcuts. That would allow you to keep going from cell to cell in Excel or text block to text block in Word and applying the format paint repeatedly until you hit ESC to end the process. Brian
