My mail seems to be working again. Hurray. To the other questions posed
on this list:
Lauren, I just called the MyFreeTaxes helpline for you. They do not
support city taxes. State and federal yes, but not city. I'm sorry the
volunteer site didn't work out for you. If you were here, I'd do them
for you. I'm a fifth year operator of three volunteer sites, and while
mistakes can happen, I'm proud to say they're extremely rare at our sites.
I get someone to read the documents. It would be too easy for the
software to OCR it in a way that it puts the wrong number on the wrong
line or interprets a 7 as a 1. I always get someone to read the
information to me, even when I'm doing someone else's returns.
Hope this helps,
Brad

I use MyFreeTaxes.com which is completely free if your income is below
$62,000. It will launch you into H&R Block, but by starting at
MyFreeTaxes.com you get the free service if you meet the income limit.
Very very accessible and easy to use. And it handles more than just
basic returns. It can do almost anything except foreign income and I
think city/local taxes. It lets you do federal and up to three states
free.

Hi,
What have you found to be the most accessible program for filing
income taxes with JAWS?
Thank you,
