I have tried the key controls in Chrome, Internet Explorer, Edge, and Firefox and they work in none of them. I can make things play and pause with the controls that look like buttons, but aren't, that employ javascript to send playpause controls to the player. Just so you know, if you happen to be using Firefox, there would be an issue with the slash command anyway, as this triggers Firefox to bring up its quick find function and gets snagged by Firefox and not passed along to the media player.
