Still haven’t seen it, but, as I understand, they allow the PC cursor to act
more like a JAWS cursor in certain situations. Suppose you have a lot of
tabbed items. Looking at my IP phone app right now, I have a so-called header
bar, which will populate with information about a caller. Next tab is an edit
field, where I can enter numbers. The next tells my state of readiness
(available, After call Work, Coaching, Tech support, Etc. If I understand what
I read on the FS site, the smart nav feature would allow me to cursor around
and treat those columns more like a continuous line, rather than discrete tabs.
We have our Silverlight app, where the JAWS cursor won’t work at all, and this
should be a real help here, once we get 17 in our shop. Am I in the ball park,
gang?

Subject: Smart Navigation keys for Jaws 17

Can any one help me with Smart Navigation Keys?

What I want is to have a clear definition of the difference between normal
Navigation Keys and the Smart Navigation Keys.

Thanks

Jim
