1. Open Windows Explorer and select the file 2. Press the applications key to bring up the context menu
3. Arrow down to “Open With” and press the right arrow to expand the menu 4. Choose “set default program” or similar. In Windows 10 it says “Choose another app”. This should be at the bottom of the list 5. In the box that appears select Microsoft Word 2010 from the list of applications 6. Tab to the checkbox for “Always use this application” and check it if it is not checked already 7. Tab to the OK button and press Enter This should set your system to always open files with that particular extension in MS Word. Regards, Aaron M. Page, B.S.
