When I did this, I had no issues with anything you mentioned.
I had to look at my id and remember that my name was Kimsan and not Connie lol.

Kimsan,

The question at this point in the thread, is not "how", but more "what happens
if...". The concern is whether changing the registered name of the computer
will have an effect on the updating or licensing of the installed software.

If you email me off list, I have a well-written document from someone that
explains how to change the registered owners name on the computer.

Tom:

I think the screen name would really be the only thing I'd be interested in
changing, at least for now.

What happens sometimes is that the author of a document is listed as the
original owner of the computer, even though I actually authored the
document.

You will need to go to the company’s website or call them and give them
information such as serial numbers and stuff. But, You can change the screan
name by going into the control pannal and go under susers. Hope this helps,
Tom

Hi again, all.

I have two computers that I have acquired over the years for various
purposes that are not registered in my name.

In other words, the previous owners assigned their names to the computers
when they first got them.

I'd like to put my name on each computer, and would appreciate if anyone
could tell me how to accomplish this.

Thanks once again for your help.
