That's good news about MSE; I had no idea that its definitions would be updated 
until July, 2015.  I mainly use an XP box at home and will continue to do so 
for the foreseeable future.  I'll also continue to use MSE as long as I can.  
Another thing that I plan to do with my XP machine is to set up another 
administrator account for any miscellaneous updates that I might do.  Once 
that's done, I'll turn my current administrator account to a plain old guest 
account and will use it for my everyday computing activities.  That way, if 
and/or when anybody tries to hack my machine while I'm using it or if it's 
sitting idle with the guest account running, any attack will hopefully be 
thwarted.
