Hi James: Templates with JAWS can be tricky. Personally, I found that a
consistently formatted document works just as well with, for example, his
name and contact info at the top tabbed to the right the way you might do
for a letter. The word RESUME in bold and all caps further down. Then,
headings that can be underlined in the left margin, with info under it, also
starting at the left margin. You can also bold these headings.

One page and a simple format will work as well as any template. I know, it
sounds so great to use the template and we want to be so professional. But
all it takes is for JAWS not to give us the direct feedback at that one
crucial field, and the whole effect is marred.

Good luck.

Subject: Questions using Resumes with Word

Hello everyone,

I have a client that is trying to write his resume using the built-in
template that come with word 2010 and 13. What do you suggest I tell this
person, because Jaws doesn't really explain where to input the information
at times. He's using Jaws 14.0. I have both Jaws 14.0 and 15.0 on my
machines, so I'll be showing him once I find out.

Also, is there any other programs that will work better for is needs?

Thanks in advance.

Best:

James Malone
