I used an old template from, I believe, the Southern Historical Association, and made a few minor changes after coming to Medicaid.

Personally, I found that a consistently formatted document works just as well with, for example, his name and contact info at the top tabbed to the right the way you might do for a letter. The word RESUME in bold and all caps further down. Then, headings that can be underlined in the left margin, with info under it, also starting at the left margin. You can also bold these headings. EDUCATION WORK EXPERIENCE LANGUAGE PAIRS AREAS OF EXPERTISE One page and a simple format will work as well as any template. I know, it sounds so great to use the template and we want to be so professional.
