I sent specific instructions on how to do this.
The thing is, you don't want to do this from tools>Options. The reason is
because, I E cannot be running when these settings are applied. this is why
I told her to go under Control Pannel, then to Internet Options. Either way
you'll get to the same place, but, it's more the method of how to get there
that is the key here.

you need to change certain things in tools, Options once IE is launched.
You have to tell it to open pages using IE desktop, and then there was
something else you need to change, a checkbox so that it will always
default to the desktop version rather than the metro one.
