Subject: RE: Usenet News Readers Under Windows 7 Yes, there are several you can use. Eternal September has a lot of positive buzz, but you're going to need some way to get around their Capcha. But a lot of folks use them. nntp.aioe.org will also get you free news access with no login. If you do a search on your favorite web search engine for free+Usenet+access you will probably find more too. Some of them require logons, like my main one that I use for most things, (I don't recall the name since I attach to it using a TCP/IP numerical address) and you can get good service from most of the free ones as long as you're not looking for the binary newsgroups. If you're looking for the binaries then you're probably going to have to use a pay service like DejaNews, but they aren't that expensive. > -----Original Message----- > From: Jfw [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Tom > Shults via Jfw > Sent: Friday, May 16, 2014 3:27 PM > To: 'The Jaws for Windows support list.' > Subject: Re: Usenet News Readers Under Windows 7 > > I stopped reading Usenet newsgroups a few years ago when my ISP > shutdown their news server.
