If you're using a wireless connection, you may find something in the system tray that tells you the speed of your network connection. But understand this doesn't have anything to do with your Internet speed. Rather, it tells you about the connection between your computer and your router or modem. It's the speed of your in-house network, or how fast you could move data between your computer and another computer on your network in your home or office.

If you want to know about the speed of your Internet connection, I use a site that works fairly well with JAWS.

www.testmy.net/download for download testing, and www.testmy.net/upload for upload testing.

Where on my windows 7 computer do I look for my internet speed?
I was thinking there was something in the system tray but haven't found it.
