function key functionality in the mobility
center, reached with windows key + x. Our
Toshiba uses function something, the HP is so new
I'm not sure how to do it with that. Point is,
they are all different. sometimes you have to go into the stinkin' BIOS.

hold the Fn key for about 20 to 30 seconds.
There would be a menu that pops up that asks
whether you want to switch back to legacy mode.

desktop, using the function plus escape will
make this change permanent until you toggle this
command again. You shouldn't have to do this

I press fn+escape. That enables the regular
function keys till I shut it
down.
