I'm using Win7, 64-bit, Word 2010 and JAWS 14. I just followed Kevin's
directions and opened up the first invoice template, called "sales invoice."
JAWS read the information line by line. When I pressed the key combo to summon
up objects, JAWS identified two, and I was able to click on them.

I may only be contributing to frustration here because that's where I stopped.
Still, in case MS templates might be accessible after all, I thought I'd add
Ann Byrne's instructions on how to navigate objects:

Press control-shift-o for JAWS to list 'objects'. Down arrow through the list
and JAWS will read most if not all of the box. If you want to be sure you have
read the whole thing, press enter on it to open it. Be aware that all the text
will be selected, so if you press any key the selected text will disappear. Now
you are trapped in the box the only way to get out is either to close the
document or to make the control-shift-o list again and then press escape.

Yup. That's what I mean. I can search for templates and choose one, but Jaws
doesn't work with them. I was just wondering if any were accessible, but I'm
gathering not. The same happens with Excel templates. I was just hoping to
find one and save myself the hasle of creating a workaround one on my wn.

Hello David and Jean,
I have Windows 7, 64 bit, Jaws 15, and Office 2010. I pressed Alt f, n, and
enter. tabbed down to search office, typed in invoice pressed enter, and
down arrowed through the selection. Pressed enter on one which downloaded,
and Jaws announced there was a number of objects, but would not read
anything with the arrow keys.
Is Jaws reading the invoice for you?
Thanks Kevin.

give this a try;

this is assuming you have eather 2007 or, 2010,

1, open MSWord;

2, alt+f=file,
enter on new,
now shift+tab or simply tab until you hear something like,
blank and recent grid,

now press the home key, down arrow until you hear;
install templates grid,
tab one time, now type in the type of template, example; invoice,
now tab enter on,
start searching link;

hope this gets you pointed in the right direction.

Subject: accessible invoice template for Word

I’m trying to find a simple Word template for an invoice. I’ve searched from
the Word initial screen where you can choose a template, but they all seem
hard to understand with Jaws. I know I could just make a Word document, but
the templates seem to be much better at cramming the necessary detail into a
small form. Does anyone have or know of a good template?

Jean
