Hi, Tom. JAWS Key plus WinKey plus F4 is used when you want to create a dump
or .dmp file which Freedom can look at to see why JAWS stopped speaking
during use of a program.

I have found that the windows key, plus the Jaws key, plus F4 works with
Jaws 14.
When you do the key sequence correctly, your computer sounds a short beep,
signifying that Jaws has successfully been unloaded.
Then, I use the usual Alt Control J. to get it back.
Not quite sure how this differs from the older Jaws key plus F4 command
that
I previously used, but it's always good to have another way to do
something.

I use the Jaws key plus F4, and did not have that issue. I tried it a few
minutes ago. I am using the latest version of Jaws15.

Ok, yep, I can echo that. I performed that keystroke and then not to soon
after, jaws spoke again.
Did that happen with jaws 15 from the jump, or after a recent update. I'm
not sure as I do not use that keystroke, often.

In recent days, after I've closed JAWS with this key combo, there is the
expected silence. But then, after less than a minute, JAWS comes up
speaking
again, saying, "JAWS is ready."
I'd suspected this behavior, but moved on. Today it became inescapable.
Just
now, I rebooted. After JAWS was loaded and the PC was ready, I tried the
combo. This time, JAWS stayed silent. However, the second time I used it,
JAWS came back up again.
I'm not saying this is a problem, but I am curious if others are
experiencing such a change.
I have JAWS 15, although not the latest release and Win7 64-bit.
