For what it's worth, I did find something that indicated the few changes
in this latest build of JAWS 15 were strictly for Windows 8.1.
Nevertheless, I was offered it in Windows 7 and went ahead and took it,
though I don't guess it matters.

It's not weird at all. There are those of us who still use Windows XP, and
JAWS16 will not work with Windows XP. So for those who cannot migrate to the
latest version, they are trying to fix all the problems in JAWS15, so that
Windows XP users will have a relatively stable version to use until they
upgrade to a newer Windows version.

Still, it's very curious. This should have been released before Jaws 16,
not after. Just alittle weird, that's all.
