I tried that many times and could not get it to work very well. The Control-shift-F keystrokes really work well. After executing them use F6 to skip over to the search results. Then it's like looking at the inbox with full functionality.
I am not a tech type and am not very good at figuring how things work. But this is what I got from the thread. Thank you for chiming in. Subject: RE: Outlook 2010 searches Hi! For me, I use the tab key to find the search box in Outlook, and type what I'm searching for. For instance, if I want to search by name, I'll type the person's name. If I know what the subject is, I can search that way. I enter the terms, and press search. I wait a few seconds, and then tab over to the results. I can then find the email that I'm looking for that way. -----Original Message----- From: Jfw [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Andre Jarreau via Jfw Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2015 2:47 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Outlook 2010 searches Hi all. The other day someone posted instructions on searching email inbox items. It was said one way was to use the start key and edit field to enter searchable items. I found this works but cannot do anything with the list of items found. Cant open any of the emails or delete them. Though I went through the steps to do each. Am I missing something or what can the start key edit field search engine be used for? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
