Yes, the 1 GB of RAM may become an issue. That's not much RAM for reading
books and listening to audio. Be sure and test the tablet out because I
think you may experience pauses or lags when listening to audio.
Now days 4 GB of ram is not really even adequate. I will not use anything
less than 6 GB of ram. That is a rigit requirement for me because with all
the dynamics of multimedia a strong RAM is a must!

The only thing that concerns me about this tablet is only 1 GB of ram. THE
tablets I've seen cannot be upgraded because you can't even open them up to
do so. At that price, though, it can't hurt to try. As has been previously
stated, make sure you can return it if the experience isn't to your liking.

I am not sure where you are located, but I would consider purchasing it from
a place that has a good return policy in case it does not work out for you.
Best Buy has a pretty good return policy if they have one where you're
located.

Hello list,
So I’ve been considering grabbing one of these tablets.
Mainly for leisurely use. Reading eBooks, audio/video stuff, Internet
browsing and so on. I’ll maybe connect my business emails to it, but
beyond
that, I don’t’ expect to use it for work related purposes.
My understanding is that Jaws will work on this device. My question is,
considering that this tablet appears to only have 1GB of memory on board,
how much will the JFW user experience be compromised by this? Sluggishness
in speech, overall device slowing down, can I have more than one or two
apps
running in the background along with Jaws, etc.?
Can the memory in fact be upgraded/expanded to 2GB?
I would appreciate any feedback users of this or perhaps an alternative
Windows 8.1 tablet can provide with their JFW 16 experiences.
Thank you,
