On my machine FS had to reload the auth code twice over two days. FS was good about dialing into my machine and changing things but it took several tries before JAWS 16 setteled down.

Although this isn't supposed to happen, it's not uncommon for JAWS to lose track of its authorization, and often a simple reboot will resolve the issue. I usually cold boot the machine (do a full shutdown and let the machine power down completely, then turn it back on), as opposed to a warm boot (a simple restart). Try that and see what happens.
