I'm admittedly late to this party. Outlook may simply have "Yesterday" "Collapsed." Just arrow up to the top of your inbox (sort of above your top message) and then hit right arrow.

I found my emails in the "deleted" folder. I have no clue as to why they went to that folder, but that was what happened. Hope this helps.
