Yes it is important to safely remove devices when you are given the option
to do so. You can safely remove a device by accessing the computer window or
your system tray. I personally like to access this by going to the computer
window by pressing windows key plus the E key. You can then press the
applications key or shift plus at 10 and hit J for eject or simply arrow
down.
