You're right. The first time I tried it, I did not arrow from the high lighted e-mail.
I have a question about setting up mailboxes for my lists. I have set up the boxes, have gone via Context Menu and also by Alt H, R, R U to Create Rule - gone through the fields, checking for the specific one that comes in the Subject line, then entering the name of the mailbox, tabbed through the fields checking most of the things in display, getting to choose a folder, I believe it is and putting in the name of Folder, then Select Folder and Entering on it, then tabbing to OK, where I have been prompted that I have created a rule, only it has not worked. I feel sure that I am missing a step somewhere. Thanks. If you have any idea, I'd appreciate steering where I have gone wrong. You can also bring up the contextual menu and do the same. -----Original Message----- From: Jfw [mailto:jfw-boun...@lists.the- jdh.com] On Behalf Of Tom Behler via Jfw Sent: Friday, September 18, 2015 3:15 PM To: 'The Jaws for Windows support list.' <jfw@lists.the-jdh.com> Cc: Tom Behler <tombeh...@gmail.com> Subject: RE: Jaws 17 pleasant surprise Carolyn: Well, if I open a message, and then get out of it, I can then go back to that message in my message list view, highlight it, and do control U. That will mark it unread for me. As I said earlier, I'm using Outlook 2010 with Jaws 16 on a Windows 7 PC. Haven't tried it yet on my Windows 7 work laptop, but I'm hoping it will work there too. It's very convenient. This works for me in Outlook 2010 with Jaws 16 on my Windows 7 PC. I often do this if I have an e-mail message that I intend to reply to, but can't do the reply immediately. Typically, I have marked messages as unread by going to the tag sub-menu, and hitting enter on "mark as unread", but this is so much easier. Thanks again! Guess you learn something new every day! There are times, when I want to retain a message for a while in order to review it several times before deciding whether to save it somewhere, copy some information or just absorb it and delete the message. In the past in Outlook Express, Control U would bring you to the next unread message. Sometimes I'll leave a couple of messages, because they have information I want to reread. In Outlook Express, when I would come in, all I'd have to do would be press Control U, and that would bring me to the next unread message. What did this keystroke do in the past? I've never used it. Take care. I am happy to announce that in Outlook 2013, when reading messages, when I press CTRL + D to delete the current message and move to the next message, Jaws is placed at the top of the next message, and I can read it as expected without first having to press the Alt key twice or alt tab away and back to the message as I had to do in Jaws 16! For me, this is worth the upgrade in and of itself! Good job FS! :) Looking forward to hearing what everyone else thinks of Jaws 17. Happy testing! :) Russell ______________________________ _________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailm an/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh. com ______________________________ _________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailm an/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh. com ______________________________ _________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailm an/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh. com ______________________________ _________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailm an/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh. com ______________________________ _________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailm an/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh. com ______________________________ _________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailm an/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh. com ______________________________ _________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailm an/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh. com ______________________________ _________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailm an/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh. com ______________________________ _________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailm an/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh. com ______________________________ _________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailm an/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh. com _______________________________________________ Jfw mailing list Jfw@lists.the-jdh.com http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com
