Hi I experienced this problem with JAWS 16 on my Dell Latitude. Maybe it's something to do with Dell laptop's soundcards. Please let me know if you resolve it.

I remember it was a pain and it took me forever to resolve it. Also, it doesnt seem to be preset when using my headset. The only thing different on my machine since dealing with this sound issue is the new Jaws 17. Im almost hopeful that others will say that they too are having the same problem because Id really hate to have to go back and figure out how I got rid of this problem last time since again, it was so long ago and wasnt exactly easy if memory serves. I usually participate in the beta cycle, but this year, I passed so this is why Im not entirely sure if its Jaws. Im still running JFW 16 on my desktop and dont have this sound fluctuation with it.
