George, if your using an older VGA monitor, they don't have the
capability to display anything higher than the lowest 640 by 480.
However, anything made in the last 3 years or so should display higher
resolutions just fine. When I bought this computer, I purchased a new
monitor so that my wife would have something decent to work with. She
put that monitor on her older computer, now, with her old VGA monitor
connected to this machine, I have the same problem. Frankly, since she
has her own computer, the display problem doesn't afffect me at all!
