It's interesting that you have managed with Word 8 at 640 X 480 resolution.

Perhaps the problem I faced was that I already had Word 6 on my machine so
was using the JAWS files for this which are different from later versions.
What does anyone think?  If you agree this is a fair possibility, would you
take MS Office 4 out completely and then try 97, or do I have to mess with
two lots of scripts and hope they don't get mixed?

It certainly would be helpful if I could use only one version of the MS
Office suite.
