Couple of questions...

1) Do you want this added as a subproject? I would think so. It has its own build.xml and produces a seperate jar/zip file.

Yes, this should be a subproject since it has its own dependencies and such (Eclipse, in particular).

2) How do you want the plugin documented and distributed?

- For documentation it looks like you have an XML based documentation framework. I don't know how much documentation we would need for the plugin but I'm guessing at least a page on how to obtain, install, and use.

I've posted a current version of the Sitematic code I use for building the documents on the site, as http://www.jibx.org/sitematic.zip This also includes the source documents and such for the JibxSoap site. The raw pages are in the jibxsoap directory. Running the Ant "soap" target runs these through a template to produce formatted pages with menu and standard page structure in the jibxsoap-site directory. The jibxsoap-site.xml defines the layout of the generated image. The id values for pages (AKA items) in the jibxsoap-site.xml can be referenced as link targets within the raw pages by using links of the form <a href="%target%">Whatever text</a>. Hope that's enough to get you started. You're also welcome to use anything else you want, though I'd prefer if the layout is compatible with the rest of the project information.

- Do you want to distribute the plugin using Eclipse's Software Update framework? This is not that difficult to do but I would need to setup a feature.xml and it defines download urls and such. Or we could simply provide a download link for a zip file that could manually installed.

I'll leave it to you as to how you want to set this up.

Thanks,

Norm

I just finished a JiBX plugin for Eclipse. I'd be happy to check it in if there is still interest. I faxed my contributor license agreement in Tuesday but haven't heard back from Dennis yet.

Hi Norm,

I received your license agreement, just email me directly with your sourceforge user name and I'll add you in. Thanks!
