[~liukun] it's just an IPC Message-encapsulated Schema and has always been
(even if the spec was not clear initially) - this is why we have integration
testing. Is there something to change on the C++/Java side?
I suppose the integration tests do not cover this so we could/should fix that,
if you want to file a new issue
