@gaurav-narula Thanks for the PR! I noticed that this was an issue I had looked into before and linked the ticket to remind myself, I apologize for not mentioning it here. You are of course welcome to work on this issue, since the original PR has become stale. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with Scala enough to approve this, but on the surface the changes seem to make sense to me.
