Previously, the ShareConsumer.commitAsync method retried sending ShareAcknowledge requests indefinitely. There was no good reason for this. This change adopts the usual Kafka practice of using the default API timeout configuration to limit the timeout for methods which do not have an explicit timeout parameter. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
