Partial Page Validations and other integrity checks enforcement issues
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: SENSEI-78
URL: http://www.jahia.net/jira/browse/SENSEI-78
Project: Jahia Workflows
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: Workflow 6.0
Environment: 23281
Reporter: Stephane Croisier
Assignee: Sergiy Shyrkov
Priority: Major
Fix For: Workflow 6.0
I have some problems in order to try to make integrity checks run and be
blockers in my workflow engine.
My use case:
- I have a John user (RWA from home page). With root I removed all roles in the
Admin Center in order to bypass the integrity checks. So such checks should now
become blocker
- I have a page (already validated) with two containers
- I update both containers and I add a broken link in the second one (a link
pointing to a page in staging only). The edition engine correctly didplay the
warning message.
- I validate my page. The Workflow Manager indicated a "partial" validation (ok
this should then validate the first container modifications but not the second
one as there is a broken url in this one)
My bad url is published in live mode !!!
So two paradigms are unclear:
- The SP4 introduces a notion of "partial validation" (if the page has a title,
only valid containers are published... but any error on a container within this
page will not block the full page). This is unclear if this "partial
validation" paradigm still works on Andromeda. Ideally speaking I think that
such a setting should be editable in the workflow type sub-engine (checkbox
with some partial or complete validation). In the worst case cenario this
should be at least a variable in the jahia.properties so that a webmaster can
decide if the whole page needs to be ok before any validation or if we can
already validate a part of the page even if some containers are not corrected
yet.
- The removal of the bypass integrity roles does not seem to work (and are
quite obfuscated as this is the opposite role as expected as you have to remove
users in order to make the warnings a blocker).
