A friend will be visiting my part of the world in the next week or so and I have an opportunity to obtain an N810 at a fairly good price. My primary motivation for buying one would be to have a visual remote for my SB3s and Transporter. The ability to browse a collection via album cover is an integral part of the musical experience for me - at the moment this is being done via PC and/or sometimes by mobile phone.
A few questions I'd appreciate some help with: - how does the Jive remote compare with the N810 insofar as browsing cover art etc. is concerned - how well is the Jive remote going to do in the above application for a large library? - any indication of a timeframe for the remote to become available to the general public - if it's a few months away I'll wait, but if it's closer to the last quarter of 2008 or something along those lines then I'm happy to bite the bullet and settle for the N810.
