These are the two most important things to solve, IMO. Looking forward to it :) However, I still kinda think that a good skin on an iPod Touch would be the best idea - it's such a joy to use. A well-implemented touch screen is (it now seems) better than buttons and wheels. I think would be happiest with a system that cached the artwork in the iPod's memory, and just used that.
