I think the SB Controller with the latest antenna works great. I was able to test the SB Controller with the old antenna and the latest antenna at my house (single story, ~2000 square feet). With the old antenna, the range was approximately 50% of my PC laptop. I could not get any signal on a SBC when I stood in front of a bedroom SB3 that listed wireless signal strength of 25-40%. With the latest SBC, its wireless range appears to be greater than my PC laptop. It gets signal in parts of my house that my laptop never could. I haven't walked outside my house with both a laptop and the SBC to compare, but inside my house the SBC's range is at least 10 feet more than the laptop (my house my ends). I can now stand in front of that bedroom SB3 and use the SBC to control it without any problems. Of course YMMV.
