I'm not at all sure what you mean by 'more consistent with
SqueezeCenter'. The regular remote is serviced by SqueezeCenter and it
does things differently to the Jive (which is serviced by itself and
merely commands the SqueezeCenter, AIUI).

If I find a point on my LP and play from there I get that point and
everything after it.
If I find a point on my tape press play there, I get that point and
everything after it.
If I find a track on my CD player and press play there, I get that
track and everything after it.
If I find a track on my squeezebox and press play there, I get that
track and everything after it.

The discrepency is that the Jive remote does things differently and
only plays that track. The more I think about it the more I think the
Jive remote is wrong in its behaviour.
