I'm having problems with the Duet setup. The player itself is wired
(but in range of a wireless AP).

I installed the player , powered on and it came straight up with red
flashing light. I Setup the remote and updated the firmware to latest
from 11th Feb download. (via Settings Advanced SW Update). Seemed to go
OK and controller shows 7.0r1901.

However when selecting the player it didn't offer me a wired/wireless
option and the config failed. When I pressed the front button and got
back the red flashing light it did work a second time (having offered
the wired option...went via white flashing for update) and all seemed
well. I could play music.

I then tried to swap SqueezeCentres (both same version) and it
became disconnected. So I pressed the front button again - red flashing
- but it won't now connect to the wired network. When selecting
"Ethernet" rather than "Wireless" it either hangs indefinitely, well
several minutes .. displaying "connecting to Ethernet" and I have to
power cycle the remote, or it says "Problem connecting" "Couldn't
connect your squeezebox to your wireless network..." note it says
wireless even though I am using the wired connector.

I tried all sorts of options - and also noticed that a longer hold of
the button gives a quicker red flashing for a short period. However I
can't get the player configured now over a wired connection. The cable
does work BTW and the socket indicators show link and activity. Also
although in range of a wireless AP it will not be able to connect this
way due to MAC filtering.

I can see the player was at some time allocated an IP from the DHCP
server but it now can't be pinged at that address . I also note that if
I try an update of the remote firmware via Software Update / Network
Update' it says 'Upgrade failed.. try again or contact support' but
this may just because it already has the latest firmware already.

Any ideas ?
