We are planning on renaming the jive source code and repository. Jive
was the internal project name for the Squeezebox Controller hardware
and also the software platform. The software platform will be split
into two parts, SqueezeOS is the linux distribution (kernel, busybox,
wireless tools, etc). SqueezePlay is the controller application, and
this will be extended to support audio playback and as a desktop
application. jive will still be used as the project name for the
Squeezebox Controller hardware.
The renaming will be done in two phases, the first (probably) tomorrow.
This will move and rename the packages in the SVN repository. At a later
date we will be renaming the lua scripts used in the SqueezePlay
application.
This change will only be made on trunk, the 7.0 branch will remain
as-is. The proposed directory changes are shown below. Please let me
know if you have any questions or comments.
