Brendan and all,
I've just updated cvs with a bunch of changes. I've done most of the
regressive issues I listed previously. Remaining are:
1. Visual representation of threads running (blinking lights) - I'd prefer to
not put this in 1.6. It's a performance drain. If some indication is needed
that JMeter is running, I suggest we brainstorm an alternative.
2. BarVisualizer, WindowedVisualizer, and MailerVisualizer are not converted
yet
3. Interleave logic control not generated
4. Remote Engine is almost there, but I may need some help to finish.
Furthermore, testing of the JDBC and the FTP modules is necessary.
Other new additions: Except for ConfigElements, each type of object in the
Tree has its own image. All objects can be saved and restored. Remote
testing is very close to being fully automatable from the gui.
It appears to me that what's currently in CVS is more or equally useful to
users than the released 1.5.1 version (the remaining regressive issues seem
pretty trivial to me), and I was thinking we might want to do an alpha
release so that we can get some more feedback, and so that users can benefit
from the improvements.
Any thoughts? Issues anyone thinks must be dealt with before such a release?
-Mike
