Ok, I'll put the license text in, and I'll start revamping the documentation 
to reflect v1.6.  I'll also replace the references to Apache and replace with 
Jakarta (BTW, the license you linked to reads Apache everywhere and not 
Jakarta - is that correct?).  

I'm not sure what regenerating the xml files means, but Brendan probably 
does....

I'll also make a Windows batch file equivalent for build.sh
