to speak.

Long ago, I was planning on addressing the bugs prior to the next release.
I was just about to forego that plan due to the large number of bugs and do
the release anyway (most of the bugs are not related to functionality), and
hopefully encourage others to jump on board with fixing bugs.  My time is
severely limited lately.  I am working on the last bit of documentation for
the new assertions, and then I was going to suggest a release.  And yes, I
was thinking of calling it 1.7.

Any comments from other JMeter developers is appreciated on the topic of
release.  I am right now thinking a beta release of 1.7 would be nice,
followed quickly by a stable release, after the bugs have been addressed.
