we could throw an exception from the "next()" method if current is not allowed to increase, and the GUI's can be forced to catch the exception and deal with it.
The problem is, I've made result collector keep only 100 samples max, after which, it will delete older samples. Otherwise, memory is rapidly used up. I can fix this tonight if you like, or you can do it.
