Glad you're here. Please note - it is never too late. There aren't regular
sign-up
periods that you have to wait for to become a committer. Anytime anyone wants
access, they only need to ask and a vote should be setup. Up to now, it's been
somewhat awkward because JMeter has lacked the necessary 3 active committers to
make it happen. But, it looks like that is going to change. Soon, we should have 6
active members.
I have no doubt that you would be a valuable committer, but the proper way to go is
first do some patches and be a bit of a presence on the lists. Let us get to know
you.
Only a few patches is necessary, IMO, before I'd vote you in. Like I said, this is
not
a "last chance" situation - ask again just as soon as you've sent in a few patches and
you're sure you want to continue with JMeter.
