Part of the reason I created the patch was that I was finding it difficult to track the current file name and what would happen when I used File:Save. In the patch, I tried to not change an of the existing behaviour, but I personally would like to see the Open operation clear the current test plan. Perhaps an Import command could be used to add the contents of a test plan to the existing plan, or Open could have the option to clear the current plan.

I think we should change the behaviour of the Save & Open

commands in

the File menu to:
- Save: save the Test Plan AND the WorkBench.

Or have a separate option to save both?

We already have a way to save the test plan only: right click on it, choose "Save...". So what's the point?

Point taken, but this is a functional change which might initially surprise some existing users who don't expect the workbench to be saved.

However, I don't feel very strongly about this.

IIRC, there was consensus on how to re-organise New and

Open - it just never

got implemented.

Was there? Could you recover the thread and log the conclusions as an enhancement request, so that we don't forget again?

OK, will do.
