Just my 1¢ on this discussion: shouldn't we, rather, be releasing more often? Then there would be no need for this...

If it is in someone's home directory, then they will

all the updates, otherwise I think developers will already
be (or can be
made) a member of the necessary group to be able to update the JMeter web-site - or at least that part of it.
I think I could do this in my home dir
(www.apache.org/~mkostrze/jmeter-manual) and upload the docs at least
once per week. The question is how to reference that location from the
main site. We could place it on the wiki, but it would be better to do a
reference from the main website.
I can update the web-site to add a link - any suggestions as to where to put it?
