I don't mean to say that there is a problem with JMeter and untrusted certs.  The 
problem is with sun's JRE and untrusted certs.  It doesn't allow them.  I'm hearing 
talk of better support for untrusted certs with JRE 1.3.1_02 and of course 1.4.

I'm curious to hear whether or not anyone on this list has tried these new JRE's with 
untrusted certs.

This might be a topic for some other discussion group.  I'll look into it and post it 
here if anyone is interested.

I have not found anything that is portable.  I have looked and looked, and have not 
been able to come up with
anything better than what we have now.  If you are willing to help in this area, I am 
open to suggestions.
