I developed with both of those JDKs, hoping that the problems were version related.
It appears that this is not the case. :(

I agree, Sun's JSSE implementation pretty much sucks when you want to do a little bit
more than simple TLS/SSL connections (like PKI).

It is just too clumsy to use.
